Mr. Yu MinhongChairman of Koolearn
Mr. Yu Minhong is the founder of our company and has served as the executive chairman of our board of directors since 2001. He was also our chief executive officer from 2001 to September 2016. In addition to his roles in our company, Mr. Yu also serves as vice chairman of the Beijing Young Entrepreneurs Association and vice chairman of the Committee of Education of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League.
Prior to founding our first school in 1993, Mr. Yu was an English instructor at Peking University from 1985 to 1991. Mr. Yu received his bachelor’s degree in English from Peking University.
Ms. SUN Chang Co-CEO
Ms. Sun joined our company in 2004 and is in charge of the overall management since then. Under her outstanding leadership, our company has gained sustainable growth. Ms. Sun has rich experience in online education business and corporation management, and is generally acknowledged as the leading role in online education business. Before Ms. Sun joined us, she served at China Unicom, Microsoft, and GE. Ms. Sun received her MBA at Renmin University of China.
Mr. SUN Dongxu Co-CEO
Mr. Sun, aged 33, is a co-chief executive officer of our Company. Mr. Sun is also a co-chief executive officer of Beijing Xuncheng (since January 2019). Prior to this, Mr. Sun was the principal of Xi’an New Oriental School (from April 2016 to July 2018) and the regional president of Northwestern China of New Oriental China (from April 2016 to May 2018). Mr. Sun began his career with the Group as a teacher in the foreign exams department of Tianjin New Oriental School (from June 2007 to June 2008). Between June 2008 and April 2016, Mr. Sun worked at Hefei New Oriental School, beginning as the assistant supervisor of the foreign examination department (from June 2008 to June 2009), and moving through various positions within the school to ultimately act as the assistant principal (from March 2012 to October 2013), and principal (from October 2013 to April 2016). Aside from our Group, Mr. Sun is the assistant vice-president of New Oriental China (since April 2016). Mr. Sun received his bachelor’s degree in engineering, majoring in computer science and technology, from Nankai University (南開大學), China, in June 2007.During the last three years, Mr. Sun did not, and currently does not, hold any directorships in any listed company.
Mr. YIN Qiang CFO
Mr. Yin joined New Oriental Group in 2005 and served as CFO. Mr. Yin became the CFO of our company in 2016. Mr. Yin has outstanding background in financial management and investor relation. Prior to joining New Oriental group, Mr. Yin worked at PwC and Sinovatech. Mr. Yin graduated from the MBA program of Peking University.
Mr. PAN Xin COO
Mr. Pan joined us in 2006 and is responsible for online operation, marketing strategy, and the startup of new business. Since Mr. Pan joined us, sales performance has sustained rapid growth. Before Mr. Pan being part of the company, he had working experience at some well-known consulting companies, such as Ogilvy and Eguan. Mr. Pan hold a bachelor’s degree from Beihang University.
Mr. Zeng Ming CTO
Mr. Zeng joined our company in 2012 and is in charge of the whole technology-related management. Mr. Zeng has excellent experience in technology management and technical perspective. Mr. Zeng served at Microsoft as technology manager before he took over the position of CTO at our company. Mr. Zeng received master’s degree from Beihang University.
